Welcome to the ABSITE Review Course

For over twenty years, this original, longest-running and largest such course in the country has helped surgical residents prepare for the ABSITE examination via three live in-person (2-day) intensive review courses offered in November, December and January each year. The course includes lectures on important topics in both basic and clinical sciences of surgery, and is based on the SCORE curriculum. In addition, a manual containing the presented material is provided to all the participants. The course’s ultimate goal has always been that it would result in a markedly improved score on your ABSITE exam.

COVID Update

Due to the Covid -19 pandemic, we will not be able to follow a similar format this year. We do hope to continue to serve surgical residents in search of a organized, comprehensive and high-yield review virtually this year. The format will be as follows:
  • The live virtual Zoom meetings will occur on the weekend of Saturday November the 14th and Sunday the 15th, 2020
  • Times: 7:00am to 7:00pm on Saturday; 7:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday
This course will be divided into four segments, participants can watch all at one sitting or keep track what segments they have seen and come back later and see the recorded segments.  If watched live, questions may be sent in live, if watched recorded, questions may be sent in via the website.  Participants will have access to the course until the end of January 2021. Participants can register only though this website. Total cost is $325 which includes a book containing most all the presented material. The book and the course Zoom meeting invitation will be sent to the participants one week prior to the live meeting.
